Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything or buy equipment?

No. Ristreva runs in the browser and installs as an app on your phone or tablet (PWA). The equipment you already have is enough.

How does the tip split work?

Tips recorded over each period (days 1–15 and 16–end of month) are split into three pools: waiters, counter staff and management. The waiter pool is distributed automatically in proportion to each waiter's own tips; the counter and management pools are allocated by the manager, validated to the cent.

Can I adjust the split percentages?

Yes. Each pool's percentage is configurable per restaurant — we set them with you during onboarding and they can be changed later.

Who uses the app at the restaurant?

The manager does the daily records and the settlements. The owner and the accountant get read-only access to the dashboard, rankings and settlement reports. There is no limit on registered staff.

Is my restaurant's data mine?

Yes. You can export a complete backup in JSON format at any time, and restore it whenever you want. Your data is never locked in.

How does onboarding work?

Onboarding is assisted: you contact us by email, we show you the app and set up your restaurant for you. There is no self-service signup and no technical work on your side.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes. The monthly plan has no lock-in; the annual plan runs until the end of the paid period. Before leaving, you can export all your data.

Does it work on tablets?

Yes. Besides phones, Ristreva has a dedicated layout for 10-inch tablets in landscape mode — ideal for keeping at the counter.
